As one of the world’s leading toll-road developers and operators, our business is all about getting people where they want to go, as quickly and safely as possible.
Established in Australia in 1996, we operate 23 toll roads across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the Greater Washington area in the United States and Montreal in Canada.
Every day millions of people choose to take our roads, and rapidly growing populations mean that many more people and businesses will be seeking the most efficient, safest and easiest ways to get around. That’s why our purpose to “Be the link between people, places and progress” underpins all that we do.
The world-class roads, tunnels and bridges that we’ve built and operate are just one part of our story. But there’s more to who we are today, and how we are thinking about transport and mobility needs 10 or 20 years from now. First and foremost, come our customers. We consistently seek ways to create more value and the best possible experience for them both on and off the road.
Commitment to the environment
Transurban has committed to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We’re redesigning the materials and methods we use, with the goal of transforming our environmental impacts and bringing them ever closer to net zero.
Community and sustainability
Our strong links with communities are visible from our sites and offices. You will see the impact you are making and know you’re part of something bigger. We are vigilant about managing and monitoring our impact on local communities, and work with communities to create local benefits. In FY24 we invested more than $3.6 million in targeted programs and partnerships, reinforcing our purpose “be the link between people, places and progress”.
