Take us through your career journey at Transurban – where did you start, where did you move to, and where are you now?
- Joined Transurban as a Project Manager in the CTO space
- Moved into Program Management
- Joined the Customer Platforms team – shifted our agile ways of working and navigated risks and appetites of a major platform move
- Spent three years as the Head of Program Delivery on the Westgate Tunnel project and went live successfully in December of 2025!
- Jumped at the opportunity to step into current role – Head of ERP and Corporate Applications
I’ve been in Program Delivery all my life, and I've been incredibly lucky to work with great people here. My specialty in Program Delivery meant I could work across many different areas, Roads, People & Culture, Finance, Procurement, and Markets. Picking up that broad perspective on how each area works is ultimately what allowed me to move around so fluidly.
How have Transurban, and your leaders, supported you in your career?
Honestly, the most useful guidance I received from my leaders was them helping me recognise my own self-worth. When imposter syndrome creeps in and you don't entirely believe in yourself, it makes all the difference when leaders put their trust in you to deliver. They gave me both the freedom and the guidance along the way to make it happen.
What is one of your favourite memories or achievements here at Transurban?
The Westgate Tunnel opening, hands down. I was responsible for seven streams of work over three and a half years. Navigating the delivery and bringing them all together in time for road opening, felt like landing a plane on a moving runway!
If you could travel back in time to your first day at Transurban and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
Trust in your own capabilities. It took me a few years to finally get there. Also, don’t be scared to trust in others, because we have such incredibly good people in this organisation.
